What A2 allows
The A2 driving licence can be obtained from the age of 18. It applies to motorcycles that meet three conditions:
- maximum engine power of 35 kW,
- power-to-weight ratio of no more than 0,2 kW/kg,
- if it is a modified motorcycle, it must not be derived from a motorcycle with more than double the power.
Which Royal Enfield models come into consideration
Royal Enfield builds motorcycles with an emphasis on pulling power and relaxed riding, not maximum output. Thanks to this, not only models with a 2 cc engine but also 350 cc twins fit within the A650 limit:
- 350 series: Hunter 350, Classic 350, Bullet 350, Meteor 350, Goan Classic 350,
- 450 series: Himalayan 450, Guerrilla 450, and also Scram 440,
- 650 series: Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650, Bear 650, Classic 650.
For a specific motorcycle, always verify the power and weight figures in the registration certificate. We will gladly go through it with you at our GARAGE as well.
Why Royal Enfield is a good choice for A2
Royal Enfield motorcycles have a low seat, clear and easy handling and power that can be fully used. A beginner need not worry about outgrowing the motorcycle, and a more experienced rider will enjoy the character of the engine. And once you get an A licence, you do not have to change your motorcycle – the 650 series will keep you entertained.
